I wanted my campaign to hold a deeply personal element.
As part of a younger generation, I don't have the full ability to reach out and relate to my target audience. My focus is around mental health and elderly people (specifically memory loss, forms of Alzheimer's and forms of dementia), so I felt that somebody who has somewhat experienced these topics would be helpful and vital to my project.
My grandmother, Diane, watched her husband, my grandfather, experience the long and painful development of Parkinson's disease and Vascular Dementia. She cared for him for around 8 years until he went into a care home for the remaining two years of his life.
My campaign will feature many of her own words and will share some of her experiences - to hopefully promote that anyone going through similar; is not alone.
