exuviae:
A 'shed' or 'cast off' exoskeleton that once supported and protected the body of an organism.
Once the life form leaves the exuvia, it is fully grown and stronger.
Symbolising strength, resilience and relaxation; the shell is a specific form of exuviae.
I derived the name of my Mixed - Use City hub from 'Exuviae' as I liked the connection it has to nature - matching the theme of the shell inspired building and further enforcing the bridge between the natural world and humans in a modern society.
I also wanted my structure to act like a physical 'shell' for humans . 'Xuvia' will be a light, calm place to relax, work and socialise; to come out rejuvenated and stronger, just like that of an organism as it sheds it's exuviae.

I wanted the branding for my Hub to promote what Xuvia was built for - a relaxed, and both social and working environment. This led to me exploring mainly soft, close to neutral combinations with small pops of colour here and there.
(Brand identifier for my app and website. Will serve as an additional logo, for the online sector of the concept. The 'Hub' part will be the user's Xuvia account - their own online hub, anywhere and any time).
